Windsor Shire comprised of 10.5 sq km bounded by Enoggera Road, Enoggera/Breakfast Creek, Sandgate Road, Bonney Road and its prolongation back to Kedron Brook. Boothville house, built in 1887, purchased in 1922 by William Booth (son of the founder of the Salvation Army) established the house as the Salvation Army Mothers Hospital which over 80,000 babies born until closing in 1994.

Downey Park is the first, and only, women’s sports reserve in the city. Officially dedicated in 1959.

Brett’s Sawmill was established in 1913 and is now the Homezone centre.
