• Your suburb name was supposed to be Euogerra?! It was intended to be a contraction of the Turrbal phrase youara-ngarea meaning ‘sing-play’ but was wrongly spelled by the Government Lands Office.

• The Enoggera Army Barracks opened in 1910 although the area was used for military purposes since 1855 and is now called The Gallipoli Barracks

• In the 1860s, the track to the Gympie goldfields passed through the railway line to Enoggera Station which opened in 1899. 

• Enoggera Dam/Reservoir was built on Enoggera Creek with fresh, clean running water turned on at a hydrant in Queen Street on 3 July 1866.
